Ilubiung Freak Show #1

How rude of us! after all the talks here, we haven’t introduced our self!

Taking a reference from mass effect where a krogan named Wrex met a Prothean named Javik,
he said that he doesn’t sure if Normandy is a space ship or travelling freak show…

And we don’t sure if this Ilubiung is a project or travelling freak show..

 .

So yeah, even though nobody here is an alien, we believe that we’re kind of … freak. Idk if we should proud or not, but this is actually kind of fun.  A matter of fun facts, if we search ‘freak show’ in the internet, we’ll find a kind of circus full of human who has weird bodies and abilities and people like to see that. Sad, huh, but that’s life for them.

Maybe…just maybe our ‘freak show’ was started from this guy, Azizi Almajid a.k.a. Aji. About weeks ago, Alfi and he were riding a bike. To go to our house they just have to turn right, but what was Aji do? Instead of turning right, he went straight and crash on something, left it alone in his laughter. Alfi who was riding with him can only said, “Damn, you freak. Freak show, anjis.” BAM! That’s how we have  a ‘Freak Show’ title above us.
He loves to buy a lot of shoes, like Beatles so much, and have a weird taste of appearance. Luckily he had such a confidence. No matter people say to his latest haircut (which is always an insult), he seems to enjoy it (yeah, you’re awesome on this, Ji). And you know what, he’s a photogenic person. In tinder lots of people match him. Whooo!!


But actually he’s not that bad. Aji is smart, you know. When he loved something he’ll search everything about and he not stingy to share his knowledge.

Ok, he might be the head of our Freak Show, but we have our project director: Alfiah Rahdini.

Graduated last year from sculpture program, she concerned on public spaces and had a dream to bring Ilubiung to the next level. Actually, this project was her idea. Uthi and I who were also participated in her first project want to continue this project. Maybe we’ll talk about this later after I told you all the member of Ilubiung forum.

Alfi has a freak magnet. No wonder people around her also freak. Maybe because of our nature whose studied in art field and socialized with similar person, we turned out weird and didn’t really care about it as if it was a normal thing to see. Anyway Alfi also learn how to cut hair by herself. Alfie’s Haircarving is her ‘hair salon’ name, and she opened it for free. In Ilubiung Project #2 we open this salon for free, she will teach the mothers who lived near this alley to cut the hair. Laughter always produced when there’s her around. Most of things she said was totally absurd (in a certain condition) made us who heard her talk cannot stop laughing. 

Actually we have around 14 members on this project and i'd like to introduce them all. Well, maybe next time..See ya!
